Get ready for the 48-hour Alumni Challenge March 15-16

A Message to Schechter Alumni:

Whether it’s the experiences in the classroom with outstanding teachers, celebrating Jewish life and holidays as a school community, the milestone events like receiving your first siddur, or the friendships that last a lifetime, there is truly nothing like the gift of a Schechter education. To us, Schechter is so much more than a school — it is a place where we became the people we are today.
That’s why we are excited to be launching this Alumni Scholarship Fund this year, a fund within the Schechter Annual Campaign that will be entirely supported by alumni like us.  This year, one out of every two Schechter students received tuition assistance — totaling more than $3 million. The school could not provide this assistance without the support of alumni who truly understand and value the unique education that Schechter provides.

We hope you will join us by making a gift during our 48-hour alumni challenge on March 15-16. All new or increased alumni gifts will be matched by a generous alumni donor committed to building our base of alumni support.

More about the 48 Hour Alumni Challenge:

On March 15 and 16, 2016, every new or increased alumni gift made to Solomon Schechter Day School of Metropolitan Chicago will be matched 1:1 (dollar for dollar) by an anonymous alumni donor, up to a total of $5,000.*

New gifts: if you have never made an annual gift to Solomon Schechter or if your last gift to Solomon Schechter was before July 1, 2014.

Increased gifts: If you made an annual gift in the 2014-2015 fiscal year and make an increased gift today, the anonymous donor will match the increased portion 1:1. (Example: If you donated $50 last year and you increase your gift this year to $100, the donor will match the increase of $50.)
